One of the most important things that you can do for your community is to learn about it, and participate. For hundreds of years, news outlets (big and small) were the purveyors of great knowledge to help communities grow and grow together.
We have a few great publications in Kansas City that help move us in a positive direction, give them a look, see how they support us, educate us, and bring us together as one! |
LGBT News
Camp is the monthly publication for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Allied communities of greater Kansas City. Launched in June, 2004, it is the area’s oldest publication serving the area’s LGBTQIA community. Camp is also the only LGBT-owned magazine in the Kansas City community.
Our focus in on news; in-depth feature stories on individuals and organizations that serve the community; arts and entertainment; and columns on health, opinion, interviews and more. In addition to the monthly print magazine, we reach the community through our website, www.camp.lgbt. |
KC Pride is a website that delivers an outlet for things happening within our gay and pro-gay community.
Our goal is to inform our readers about the latest Gay news – commentary, arts & entertainment, health, parenting, and politics that impact Kansas City and beyond. We’re also a big believer in supporting our local community when it comes to people that play a part in Kansas City but may be overlooked. If you know someone that deserves a spotlight or a much-deserved voice please contact us in the contact form. If they/you inspire, support and rise to a challenge whether it be through the arts, music, politics, business, volunteering etc… We want to know. |
